Artist: Nick Bamford

Gallery: Max L. Gatov Gallery East
Nick Bamford, the creator, of the first exhibition I have seen with black lights is an under grad in his last semester here at LB. For Nicks art piece, he firstly tried to challenge himself by making smaller exhibits. For those who have not seen this piece, it is pretty tall, I want to say around 8 feet tall probably. So I would surely enjoy seeing his larger pieces and seeing how big those are compared to this one.
Nick enjoys to put random sentimental objects together in order to create one giant sentimental piece. He enjoys creating his art in his spare time.
The black light to me in this piece was extremely different, the story behind hi using the black light us just because he enjoys it and wanted to use it in one of his pieces and found a use for ut in this one. of the three sculptures he had, his favorite was the one with the shopping cart attached to it.
Lastly, my favorite thing about his exhibition is that he wanted to make meaning of it, although it may have no meaning ti anyone else. It has a world of meaning to him and that truly inspired me to make meaning of my own things whether it be art or anything else.
