Samuel graduated from CSULB last semester (fall) with a BFA. He spends a majority of his time working on his art pieces and sculptures to the point that he even left his apartment and lived in his car because he saw it useless to pay for an apartment when he spent most of his time in the galleries. He also enjoys watching t.v and reading comics in his spare time.
I found it interesting how a majority of his pieces are interchangeable among each other. Which I found interesting because, usually most art pieces are individual among themselves and it is really creative to have them able to switch.
Lastly, a majority of his works reminded me of children characters, some being the fishes from Dr. Suess books and Kerropi. However, they were not his only pieces, he also had pieces that looked like old broken toys. which reminded me of refurbishment. He was able to make something like an old toy into a beautiful work of art, something you would not think would be beautiful again.
